September 2009                  BHS Graduation Party

Dear Friends of Berlin High School,

 The Berlin High School Class of 2010 graduation will soon be upon us. Each year the parents of the senior class provide a memorable, fun, safe graduation party; free from drugs and alcohol. Berlin as a community has supported the various drug/alcohol awareness & prevention programs throughout the children’s school careers. Through D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) conducted by Berlin Police, and the BHS UPBEAT Program, the kids have been taught awareness, peer pressure resistance and leadership skills with an emphasis on drug and alcohol abstinence. The Graduation Party is the crowning jewel to the end of their Berlin school career encompassing the ideals of the community. This year’s event is tentatively planned for Graduation Night, June 20, 2010.

To make this event a reality, parents contribute countless volunteer hours, talent and significant monetary contributions. However, in today’s economy as we continue to feel the pinch of job losses and reduced income, we need the help of the local community and businesses to raise the funds to support this event. It’s been proven time & time again…..It takes a village to raise a child.

We ask you to consider supporting our project as we strive to reach the goal of raising $40,000. This year we are offering sponsorships in the following categories:

Platinum Senior Redcoat Sponsor - $1000 or more
Gold Senior Redcoat Sponsor - $500 - $999
Silver Senior Redcoat Sponsor - $250 - $499
Bronze Senior Redcoat Sponsor - $100 - $249
Friends of Senior Redcoat 2010– other monetary donations or goodie bag donation (250 units)

Please consider contributing to this worthy cause, by making checks payable to BHS Graduation Party and submit to the address below. If desired, a committee member will happily pick up your donation. Whatever you choose to give will be greatly appreciated. Your organization’s name will be recognized on a banner which will be strategically placed for all to see. We also cordially invite you to come join us on that momentous day at 6 p.m. for a walk through so you may witness the magical transformation of the high school and take pride in knowing you helped make it happen.
