2011
18th Annual Physics Day at Six Flags Trip

When:  Tue. June 7, 2011   6:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Cost:  $60 without Six Flags Season Pass  -  $33 with pass -
Costs went up $6 pp. from last year - "thanks alot Bin Laden".

Deadline: Friday April 29 or until all the spots are filled.  The trip is first-come, first-served.  When the first 52 spots are taken, a waiting list will be formed.  Last Year the Trip filled in 2 days!!!!

Six Flags Season Passes: You may  use your Six Flags Season pass to enter the Jackson NJ park, but you must first have your pass validated at the Agawam park and have your picture ID taken.   This must be done before we leave, so plan ahead if you want to take advantage of this cost saving measure.
What to Bring:     We will make stops for food on the way down and back so bring extra money for a breakfast snack and a dinner.  You should also  bring money for any food or souveniers that you wish to purchase at the park.    Lunch in the park can cost anywhere from $5-10.
How to Dress:  Dress for the day.   There are lockers available but expensive.   The trip will take place rain or shine.  Actually, a rainy day is an uncrowded day and we get more rides in.  The park has closed only once in all the years we attended, (it has rained three times) and even though it closed early, we still had a great day in the park for three crazy hours - the park was virtually empty.  The extended weather forecast is for clear sunny weather for the entire month of June, so plan on a great day.
Why Don't We Just Go to Agawam/Six Flags New England:  Once you have been to the Six Flags in NJ, you won't ever ask this question again.  There are 4 world-class roller coasters that are in the top 10 in the world in one category or another.  Kingda Ka is the world's tallest and fastest coaster, Nitro is one of the fastest and and tallest, and this year there is a new wooden coaster that is one of the top two wooden coasters in the world called El Toro.   The drive takes a few hours, but the experience is worth the wait.
This year the Physics Day at Six flags trip will take place on Tue. June 7, 2011 .  The bus will leave BHS promptly at 6:00 AM , by Premier motor coach, and arrive at Six Flags in Jackson , NJ at approximately 10:00 AM (park opening).  We will depart Six Flags at 6:00 PM and arrive back at BHS at approximately 10:00 PM .    The cost for this year's trip will be $60 which includes the bus ride down to the park and the park.   For those students who already have a Six Flags season pass, the rate will be between $33 which will include the bus only.
Please return permission slips and money (Check payable to Berlin High School or Cash) no later than Fri. April 29.
Note:  The trip may be cancelled if student interest is insufficient!!!
